Scrubbin'

Welcome back everyone for a brand new year of PCM fun! As second years we've moved on from the basics of SOAP noting and to graduated to the fundamentals of surgical prep and procedure! Enjoy a little recap of the past month's shananagans...

Dr. Kamstra shows his group how to scrub in and dry off while maintaining a sterile environment.

Team work was key in this lab- getting properly scrubbed and gowned can be tricky!

Here, students put on a surgical gown the sterile way- keeping their hands inside the cuffs while donning their gloves.

We learned lots of little tricks- like taping your glasses to your forehead to prevent them from sliding down your nose during surgery..

Is that an OR or PCM III??...It's getting harder to tell..

See you next time! Keep it clean everyone!
